Many people I coach and produce professional voiceover demos for ask me all the time:  "Don't I need an agent?"

The truth is, an agent helps, but in the meantime, you have to represent yourself.  You CAN find voiceover work on your own.  I am living proof...I continue to rep myself, AND I HAVE AN AGENT!  If you keep your eyes and ears open, even if you have represenation, you’ll find opportunities that your agent may overlook and you have to be ready to capitialize on them. I do it every day using a link from Faithful Dog Voiceover.  And if you do have an agent(s) they will also find the link useful.

I've always told all of my clients how to search for castings/listings on Craigslist.  As many of you know, you cannot send mp3's through Craigslist and other list services because the mp3 files are too large.  But you CAN copy and paste a link in the body of an e-mail. This is my link.

2009 EMMY AWARD WINNER Peter D. Michael

Notice, this link is dedicated strictly to voiceover samples.  The last thing a casting director wants to do is keep scrolling and clicking on links in a web page trying to find and listen to your VO samples.  The Faithful Dog voiceover link is really easy to set up and has earned me thousands – literally. Here's Proof:

Recently, I responded to an infomercial breakdown that was casting Actors. I knew I did not fit the description to audition as one of their actors, but we all know that infomercials always have a voiceover.  I emailed my link and a short note stating, "Please let me know if you're looking for a voiceover talent for your production.  Below is my personal voiceover link." I was cast for the infomercial, the YouTube video which you can check it out here, and the instructional DVD.  The job was non-union and netted me over $1,000.

And in January, I got a call from a production company who clicked on my link and selected me over many others to voice an industrial spot.  This particular production company is now forwarding my link to all of it’s clients; one of which is Exxon Mobil - after listening to my link they hired me immediately.

Isn't time you got 'Linked' ? GET STARTED NOW. There is voiceover work waiting for you.

Yours Truly,

Peter D. Michael
